Jake + Ashley

Sorry fellas... Jake raised the bar when it comes to a proposal! A sweet story about an even sweeter couple! Check it out!

"I had the location picked out for months. We'd been planning the European vacation for over a year and I knew it just had to be there. My then-girlfriend, Ashley, grew up in a Disney family, taking yearly family trips to Disneyland and Disneyworld. She knows every Disney movie almost by heart and her favorite Disney princess has always been Sleeping Beauty.

When planning our trip, we decided that the second city of our adventure would be Munich and that one day we would travel out of the city to see the Bavarian countryside and tour Neuschwanstein Castle. What many people don't know however, is that Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland in California was modeled after Neuschwanstein Castle. How perfect was that!?!

After getting the ring from LJS Design (which turned out PERFECTLY!) I duct taped it to the bottom of my backpack and said a little prayer that Ashley wouldn't find it while we packed for the trip. I was never going to let that bag out of my sight so my stress levels were slightly higher as I carried that backpack through airport security, all around London, back to the airport and finally to Munich.

When we arrived at Neuschwanstein, we hiked up the mountain and arrived to the spot I had in mind for months: Marienbrucke Bridge. The view overlooking the castle was picture perfect however the large crowd on the bridge and my fear of dropping the ring to the valley floor 300 ft. below got the better of me. I suggested we cross the bridge and do a little hiking off the beaten path... and I'm glad we did. We came across a cliff with the most breathtaking view and I knew it was now or never.

You know the rest of the story. She said yes. It was a proposal straight out of a fairytale and the perfect start to the adventure of our lives together.”

Congratulations to both of them! 👸🏼🤴🏼
